Claudia Herrmann
Head Instructor
As a teenager, Claudia worked in a German barn in exchange for lessons. After college, Claudia became a certified horseback riding instructor and worked in various stables as a teacher, trainer, and barn manager. Working at several stables at the same time allowed Claudia to get insight at the many different sides of horsemanship: dressage, hunter jumper, breeding, western, ground training, liberty, etc. In 2006, Claudia unexpectedly got the chance to work and ride for the “Herrmann’s Royal Lipizzan Stallions”. She was involved with the daily care and training of the horses, performed in shows, and taught lessons on the stallions. While touring with the Lipizzan stallions in Michigan in 2008, Claudia received an offer to work for a traveling zoo. She soon worked herself up to be manager of the zoo. For over 10 years she functioned as an animal ambassador, teaching people of all ages through hands-on interaction. Throughout all these years Claudia never gave up her passion for horses. She has been working at Legacy Stables since 2019 and has been broadening her knowledge to include vaulting and therapeutic riding.
